London Association of Brazilian Carnival Bands (LABAC)<\/h2>\n

Here is some exciting news about Samba and Brazilian carnival bands in London.\u00a0 Many of the bands in London such as Paraiso, Tribo, Baque De Ax\u00e9 and the London School of Samba<\/a> have come together to create a powerhouse of ideas.\u00a0 The newly formed London Association of Brazilian Carnival Bands (LABAC) has been created to promote Brazilian bands at Carnival.<\/p>\n

Notting Hill Carnival cancelled in 2021 due to Pandemic<\/h3>\n

\nWith no live Carnival on the streets of\u00a0Notting Hill<\/a> due to the pandemic, the organisers of NHC (Notting Hill Carnival) were still able to put on a great show. The prestigious Panorama<\/a> 2021 annual steel pan orchestra competition at Emslie Horniman\u2019s Pleasance Park on Saturday 28 August 2021 still went ahead.\u00a0 The\u00a0UK National Panorama Steelband Competition<\/strong>\u00a0is an annual steel pan event that is held in London over the\u00a0Notting Hill Carnival weekend<\/a> and is the most respected and anticipated outside of the Caribbean.<\/p>\n

The newly formed London Association of Brazilian Carnival Bands (LABAC) were part of the team that made Panorama 2021<\/a> so successful this year.\u00a0 The close collaboration between Brazilian Bands in London<\/a> such as\u00a0 Tribo, Baque De Ax\u00e9 and London School of Samba helped create a fantastic show for Panorama 2021.\u00a0 This event was in place of the Notting Hill Carnival<\/a> in 2021 due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The London Association of Brazilian Carnival Bands (LABAC) is a brand new organisation.\u00a0 The aim is to promote Brazilian bands and culture at carnival.\u00a0 Over time we will have more information about this exciting new collaboration for some of the best Samba bands in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n
